The Northwest Tour
Small group - max 8On this tour, we will visit the northwest of Martinique from Fort de France or from your hotel (an extra charge may apply) and we will tour the northwest of Martinique for 6 hours. This is the most popular tour so far. We will visit a famous church overlooking the island (Eglise de Balata), a beautiful wild river (Alma River), a spectacular waterfall (Saute du Gendarme), a botanical garden with a short tour of the rainforest (Domaine de l'Emeraude), a rum distillery with a magnificent view of the volcano (Depaz), and then return through the former capital of St. Pierre, destroyed in 1902 by a rare volcanic eruption, and stop briefly on a black sand beach.

Small group - max 8From Fort de France or your hotel (an additional charge may apply), we'll head to Martinique's verdant southwest, taking in spectacular coastal roads, sugar cane fields, picturesque fishing villages and many photogenic landscapes. We stop to taste the award-winning Trois Rivières rum, then the fruit and souvenir market of Le Diamant (except on Mondays). Continuing along the coast, we stop at the CAP 110 Memorial, erected in memory of the sinking of a slave ship in the 19th century, immortalized by a moving sculpture composed of 15 white statues to remember the human loss that was the price of centuries of slave trade. Next stop to admire the spectacular Diamond Rock from the coast, theater of naval battles and sanctuary of various migratory species. Then we arrive at Anse d'Arlet, a quiet village that has won a prize for being one of the most loved by French tourists, with an 18th century church where, a few steps from the town's splendid beach, we can admire dozens of colorful tropical fish thanks to the masks we have on board. We continue along the coast and pass by Trois Ilets, the birthplace of Josephine de Beauharnais, who left this beautiful island to become the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress of France. On the way back to Fort de France, we visit the old Pottery factory, where we can admire (and buy) the products of small skilled local craftsmen.

Who am I ?
Born in Milan, Italy, I have traveled throughout Europe and beyond since my childhood.
A jazz musician for many years, I became a restaurateur in the 1980s in Germany. My attention
to my customers and close relationships with the producers of the best products earned my
restaurant a Michelin star, a commitment I maintain today in my tourism business.
After visiting almost all the islands of the Lesser Antilles by boat, I first settled on the island of
St. Lucia in 2000 and since 2013, I have been living on the island of Martinique, a French
department and a crossroads of history, cultures, cuisine and music. The nature here is
spectacular, with breathtaking beaches, pristine rainforest and lush countryside rich with banana
plantations, sugar cane and other natural wonders offered by the climate. In my Vito Mercedes
minibus, I will take you to the most famous places, but also to those I discovered off the beaten
track.
Expect a day full of spectacular and exciting landscapes, sun, rain, sea, colorful markets, rum
tastings, forest walks but also historical, cultural and why not, philosophical reflections ! I can’t
wait to see you !
